Mark! Favorite movie. Of all time. Ever. The one movie you wanna own every piece of memorbilia from, posters....etc.

Qui-Gon! What do Jedi do when they wanna get away from it all?

No question at all. Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi in particular. It's the one that got me interested in film, the one that gave me a whole new world to dream about, and gave me a hero, a guy who thought he was a normal kid, but actually could do some damn awesome things.

The Jedi Temple and the council teach meditation as a form of relaxation. Meditation in their definition is a time of centering one's self in the Force, of calm understading and communion with the Force and one's self. Quite a lot can be said for a good meditation session.

That being said, I rather prefer a book or a game of Sabacc.

Mark! You're not really plotting against me, are you?

You're supposed to be my wingmate!

(But not that kind of wingmate.)

Oh, come on, Wes. I wouldn't plot against you. I have no reason to plot. And besides, I couldn't pull off a prank if my life depended on it. *shifty* Well, I did break into a building once.

...okay. Good. No, I don't s'pose you'd be very good at pranks at all. I'll believe you for now...

I walk around with a holocam I'm no good at pranking anyone. *short*

It has nothing to do with anything. It's just... the one rather illegal thing I did. And ironically, not the one I got thrown in jail for.

Well, breaking into buildings is fun. I'll give y'that. What did you get thrown in jail for?

*confused* Who?

Buying drugs on the black market to keep my best friend alive. It was all stupid and political.

No one! *brightly* At least no one I'll ever let you meet.

...ew, politics. I hate those. All the best things can be solved by just shooting things lots, not talkin' at them.

-- I'm sorry. I hate to give the woeful question.

But she nags.

... Mark, do you understand why Syfte thinks you're a bigger jerk than Graff? (And she keeps talking at me. Did you ever really want to marry her, or was she just sloppy seconds? SHUT UP SYFTE)

Date: 2006-03-24 04:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bohemian-mark.livejournal.com
*deep breath* It's because Graff could be seen as doing what he did because he thought it was for the best, and I wasn't thinking of consequences? Don't fall over, people, I do read books.

And yes, there was a time I did want to marry Syfte. But thinkgs changed somehow in my mind. No, it wasn't just Maureen. She was more the tip of the iceberg, the thing that can be seen, supported by a whole lot of things which are under the surface. I'm not good with words. I'm not good at telling people exactly what's going on with me. I know that, perhaps better than anyone.

If I could put everything I'm feeling on film, to who it to people rather than resorting to words, I would. I don't know how to describe what happened with Syfte. Perhaps a slow realization that I didn't think it was working? Perhaps I'm just too stuck in my past for my own good.

Fuck, I'm the first to admit that I handled everything shittily. If I had it to do over again, would I? Yes. Would the end result be any different? The facts probably not. The emotions, I hope so.

Am I making excuses? Probably. Do I mean to? No. I didn't mean to hurt her. Hell, I still love her in many ways. It's just... Maureen or not, I don't know if it would have really worked. If that makes be Graff and a callous bastard, so be it. I'm sorry.

Val: What keeps you going through everything that has happened?"

From: [identity profile] empath-wiggin.livejournal.com
There are days that I wonder that myself. I guess if I had to give an answer, however, it would be two-fold. First, part of me still feels that I have to make up for what Peter did. Sure, he brought peace to the world, but at what price? The decit, the subterfuge, everything to get him in power.

The second is to live up to what Peter did. All the things I said before, about bringing the world together, no matter how you do them, they are still accomplishments. Something to be proud of. The world had decades of peace because of Peter.

Really, if you boil it all down, I just want to affect people for the better. To use my strenths, for once, not as a minion of someone, but for what I like, and what I want to do.

Well, the logical answer is that they keep my pants up. Otherwise, I just like them as a fasion statement. They're fun to wear.

When we were together, really, we split it up, on the rare occasion that someone did cook. I never really had much time to cook until late, and Maureen was out a lot at night for plays or protests. So really, it was a lot of quick things, like frozen food or sandwiches.

Date: 2006-03-24 08:11 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bohemian-mark.livejournal.com
*stare* People cook in the Loft? I burn ramen, Roger has a tendancy of forgetting he's cooking until it's so overdone it's not even edible. Maureen's... a decent cook, but she doesn't like to do it. Mimi is amazing, but it's all Mexican food, which gets a bit old after a while. *pause* So, er, Burger King cooks a lot. Chinatown has some amazing takeout too.

Honestly? Film things. Either just go to Central Park and lean against a tree and film things, or bike down the streets filming.

But, I guess, if you're trying to get me out from behind the camera, as a certain drag queen likes to do to me, I'd love to watch a film, or read. It feels strange anymore to watch or read Star Wars.

I've been asking myself that for a long time. However, I think I chose it, because it sounded like a fairly popular name, and not one as distinctive as the others that were in my head at the time. I wanted to sound plausible, but not draw attention to myself.

Val -- What made you fall for Luke? I know he hasn't been around for a while, but I'm sure there's something that drew you to him in the first place.

Mark -- You started a production company, you went back to school, you swept the Oscars. What next?

When it comes to Luke, I think I'd fallen for him before I realized it. Or let myself admit it. At first, he was just cute, and obviously worried, and needed someone to talk to, someone that wouldn't immidiately fangirl him.

Eventually, as I got to knowhim, I realized on some level, that he reminded me of Ender. Thrown into something at a young age, totally ripped from what he knew before.

To top it all off, he's cute and adorable, and loving, as well as brave and selfless and strong. Sure, he needs a confidence poke every so often, but who doesn't?

I'm going to Disney World! Actually, not really. After classes end in May, I'm going to take a couple weeks where I just don't have to do anything at all. After that, I have some ideas for my next film if I can pull it off. Keeping that under my hat until then, though.
